I've been (half-jokingly) saying how the Republican party has become a proto-fascist party. I've been saying how ridiculously reactionary some aspects of it are, wanting such an obvious return to pre-Civil War rights of people but a modern guarantee of rights to non-humans. I've been pointing out the inherent stupidity that comes from ignoring science that the Republican party seems to flaunt. Even ignoring my radical liberal views on how to run a government, the Republican party isn't operated by conservatives. It isn't operated by fascists, reactionaries, anarchists, libertarians, classic liberals, or any group of an accepted ideology. It is a hogwash of all of these where only the worst traits come out, because those are always the easiest to persuade people by as they instill fear. I'm not saying the Democratic party isn't as horribly disjointed and ineffective; the Republican party just accomplishes and produces harmful bunk and idiocy at a much faster rate.

When a living, air-breathing human being actually comes into the world, being “pro-life” becomes infinitely harder. This requires you to actually care about people. The sort of care that takes a critical mind, patience, and self awareness. The sort of care that requires figuring out why things are the way they are so that you can work toward actually fixing them. The sort of care that takes compassion and an unending dedication to a better for life for all humans.
The sort of care that marching around, waving huge dead baby posters, and calling women murderers is completely and utterly devoid of.

Media sexualization of women and the pressure on women involved in sports to appear as “real women” means wearing make-up, appearing and acting feminine. Some researchers blame homophobia in sports for the need to present heterosexual images. Driven by fears of being labelled as lesbians, women athletes seek to project an over-emphasized heterosexual, feminine image.
But the (hetero)sexualization of women athletes keeps women in their place, whether they are playing or coaching in “male” sports or ones considered more “feminine appropriate.” Compulsory heterosexuality and the sexualization of women are very effective tools in the treatment of women athletes as second-class citizens and they also diminish women’s talents as athletes and coaches.

When you discuss the wage gap, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Only white women make $0.77 to a man’s dollar.
- Black women make about $0.68 to a man’s dollar.
- Latina women make about $0.58 to a man’s dollar.
Intersectionality matters.
And men of color make less than white women.
White feminists really feel like they can attack black dudes all day on the internet (even though they fear us irl) just because they've got a pack of white feminists on their side to demonize a nigga the moment we say a word in response.
